Fun with the Boys

I had a great time last Saturday night playing a short set at The Sound in Fort Walton Beach. The event was a CD release party for the new record "Musical Chairs" which I recorded with my good friends Donnie Morgan and Greg Roth. In case you have been missing lately, I have a long-standing (and ongoing) project called Lucky Henry, which is a jazz/rock fusion trio. Busy, Busy, Busy

Finally finished mixing the live tracks for the upcoming "Sounding Rick- Live in Japan CD" and now they are in the hands of my friend and mastering guru, Jim Laforest at AudioVista in California. I had to take some time away from the project to come back with fresh ears and the holidays presented the perfect break. One of the challenges is taking performances from different cities and venues and making them sound good.
Now, my faithful engineer Paul Williams and I are busy working on the upcoming acoustic record, "Free Energy". As it stands, it looks like there will be about 10-12 songs with just me and my acoustic guitar. It will be a nice change. In April, the follow-up to "Unstoppable" begins production with one of the nicest guys in show business, Kasim Sulton producing and the great Prairie Prince on drums (schedules permitting) .
